Mixing Delicate and Casual

I wasn’t sure this “lingerie as outerwear” trend was for me – but this silky top got to me. It makes an outfit a whole lot more feminine and seductive. I love mixing fabrics and styles in the Fall so it was an easy decision to make it casual and pair it with a baggy sweater and ripped jeans.

Cozy cardigans and sweaters are the best part of cooler days (ok, with pumpkin pie and candles and booties). I bought this one last Fall and wore it all through the cold seasons. A simple sweater is so important to own, and can be worn with so many different outfits which makes it worth the price. I like to get some that I know will make it through countless washes without stretching or shrinking, which really made me regret not getting it in more colors last year. It is fully restocked now, and the pale pink and dark grey are definitely on my list.

For the past year I have been into blocked heels – booties, heels, sandals,… you name it, I love it. So clearly these shoes had to come home with me. They are from one of my favorite shoe brand BP (the same brand for my most-worn ultra-popular black booties), which means they are super comfy, fit true to size, AND are totally affordable.

The “lingerie as outerwear” trend can make me feel over-exposed if not worn properly. Your mix with casual is perfect, Marie! 🙂 I also love your cute block heels. Block heels are winning me over this season too. I’ve been buying more block than stilettos this Fall. 🙂
