I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I love wearing jeans. But recently I have found myself wanting to try to dress up more while keeping it “me” (which is definitely more casual). Like I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I am slowly approaching thirty and really want to discover what that means to me and my personal style.
So I went to Reitmans and decided to give this pair of black trousers a chance, and I am SERIOUSLY loving them! The fit is perfect around the waist – and there is no zipper, helloooo stretchy elastic waistband! I did want them slightly more cropped at the ankles so I folded them in once, which gives the impression that my legs are longer. I actually love the feel of wearing them so much that I already have them planned for another outfit and cannot wait to just hang out in them until they wear out.
This super cute striped top feels like a t-shirt and compliments the pants to keep that simple chic vibe – and the cropped bell sleeves are the touch of femininity this outfit needs. Both pants and top are part of Reitmans’ “New You” campaign focused on giving women new opportunities to find their own fashion style.
Oh and I cannot get enough of these flats. I love them so much I went back and got them in black! I love how they look with the cropped pants, and now that Spring has arrived (the date at least, we are still waiting on nature’s first signs) I know I will be wearing them all the time! I hope you are not sick of them yet 🙂
