Bonjour babes, and welcome back to my blog!
As you might already know if you are following me on social media, last week I packed my bag and went to spend a couple of days at the ultra-modern Andaz hotel, here in Ottawa. The word “staycation” was never more accurate than in this case, since I could actually see my apartment building from my hotel room! But you know that feeling when you stay at your friend’s house for the night and you feel like you are in a completely different city? Yeah, that’s what I felt, and I loved it!
The Andaz is brand new, and the brightest, most blogger-friendly hotel I have stayed in (probably ever). I’m saying blogger-friendly because I cannot think of another way to describe it. From the moment I walked into the lobby (where they offer you a glass of wine to welcome you!) I was in another world. For those of you who are or have been in Ottawa, you know the city is pretty dark, aka “visually” not the best for a street style blogger. So when you get to be in a place that has been built with natural light, marble walls, gold accents, and open spaces, well… let’s just say my stay there consisted of many hours in front and behind the camera! So I decided I would document my whole day there in photos, and share them with you! From croissants and cinnamon buns in bed, to watching the sunset from the bedroom windows overlooking the city, to finally enjoying a cocktail in the hotel’s bar for a night out (or more accurately night in) – I am taking you with me through it all.
PS: You can see the touches of gold and copper all throughout the hotel. I adore how simple and modern the vibes are, yet how much you feel like you are at home. I am not someone who likes to sleep anywhere else than my own bed, but I was seriously bumped to have to leave…
Oh and PPS: I didn’t get the chance to photograph the gym, but I would give up my membership to my underground/dark current gym for the Andaz’s top floor workout space any time, any day!
The biggest thank you to the Andaz Ottawa ByWard Market for having me stay with you for a couple of days. I can’t wait to be back when the snow is gone and get to enjoy the open air patio on the roof top!
