It has been SO long since the last time I was able to wear a dress outside without freezing every extremity of my body! If you know me, you know I am such a baby when it comes to cold but I do suck it up half the year in the name of style. BUT since Spring has finally shown its nose around here, I can finally switch my wardrobe to more pleasant pieces like this polka dot (or is it animal print?) flutter dress from Reitmans.
There is nothing I love more than a dress that you can either style up or down depending on how you accessorize it, and in this case I decided to wear it with a pair of OTK boots (it is still April after all) and a denim jacket tied around my waist. Like I mentioned before, I get cold really fast so the jacket not only serves as an accessory but is also super practical. And since I love having my waist defined I added a simple black belt to still give me curves should I decide to throw the jacket on!
The photos don’t do justice to the ruffle details of the dress, which start at the shoulder and go all the way down to the waist. I love when a dress has a busy print like this one, but it is important to keep the rest of your outfit neutral and simple (so you don’t look like an escaped clown)!
