Fourth of July outfit #1

Fourth of July is right around the corner, and this is THE dress you want to celebrate all day! It is absolutely the lightest, sweetest dress I got this summer so far, and pair it with red sandals and a red lip and You. Are. Done. It doesn’t hurt either that is costs $55…
Since buying it I have seen it on countless bloggers (including my babe Michelle right here) and it is seriously flattering on EVERYONE. Doesn’t matter if you are on the slimmer or chubbier side, the shoulder-baring style will give your body a slimmer shape in contrast to the flowy skirt that will work in your favor by hiding what you don’t want to expose. Also, I don’t know about you but the smocked bodice reminds me of the dresses I wore when I was a child and I kind of love it (this dress and this top are also too cute for words)! I have been into colored dresses recently, especially colors I wouldn’t usually be drawn to – like baby blue or yellow. Blue is having a big moment this summer, and after getting this dress I totally get it/want to add more of it to my closet!

These photos were taken at l’Esterel Resort – where I spent the week – and if you live in Canada you need to put it on your must-go-to list! I am not going to get into too many details now because I have a big blog post coming up soon with everything I did and would recommend (or not), but let me just say that waking up to the lake quite literally at the edge of your terrace is pretty darn enjoyable. I have always loved the beach more than the lake, but moments like these make you realize how you can find happiness basically anywhere you go if you choose to look at it! And as long as the food is good, who am I to complain right?!
