How to warm up a winter outfit

Winter is cool in every meaning of the word. Not only is it cold (borderline freezing) outside, but we tend to go for more “cool” tones when putting an outfit together – colors like blacks, whites, greys,… Clearly I am not condemning this at all, because obviously I love those colors (wore them all in my last post!), but sometimes it is nice to switch them up and go for a “warmer” scheme.

Camel is always one of the best options in fall or in winter, because it suits every skin tone, goes with everything in your closet, and immediately takes an outfit a step higher in the sophistication department. I loved this one (on sale!) with the peekaboo pops of red in the seams, it just made it stand out from other camel coats to me and I knew I’d have the perfect outfit if I paired it with all blacks and burgundy pieces. If you’ve been following me for a while, you will have seen this scarf so many times (here, here, and here for example) and there’s a good reason for that… I LOVE it. Can’t get rid of it no matter how many times I’ve worn it (and how many times I accidentally dropped it on the floor/snow/mud). It isn’t in stock anymore but I found a few similar ones (if only they look warmer than mine!) here and here – but this color seems it is selling at lightning speed so hurry!

Cute coat! I was reading reviews and it sounded like it doesn’t have pockets or does it?
