Summer’s biggest trends: front buttons

Hi lovelies, long time no see here! Not sure if any of you noticed, but I took the entire month of July (well almost, today is the 30th) off. I needed to take a step back and deal with some personal situations, and I just didn’t have the heart to come on here and pretend like everything was peachy – much less take photos and plaster a big fat (fake) smile to my face. But now things have started to settle and I missed my Bazaar, so here I am, a few pounds lighter (talking about my hair!) and a fresh mind state – ready to start blogging and sharing with you all the summer vibes while there is still a couple of months ahead of us!

Starting things off with this skirt YOU GUYS. I am OBSESSED with it! So freaking flattering for any body shape – it actually comes from the Roxy Earle collection at Le Chateau (for all my Canadian babes, any of you watched The Real Housewives of Toronto??), and her collection is all about curves of all sizes and how to be flattering for your figure! I saw this on the website and immediately added it to my cart – too scared it would sell out! I got it in the smallest size, and it fit like a glove – the fabric is slightly stretchy and hugs you in places you want to be hugged!
Front buttons are a huge trend this summer (fingers crossed it stands the test of time and becomes one of those timeless trends), from dresses to tops to skirts, and the overlap of this one is the perfect mix of modest and playful.

I paired it with a thin lace cami because it’s still incredibly hot here, but can imagine it in the fall with a thin sweater tucked in the front and either thigh high boots or pumps.

My earrings are unfortunately sold out 🙁 but I found a ton of similar ones right above.
